Conscious living and healthy eating are a focus in many households. Nowadays, more and more people are interested in having access to valuable, nutrient-rich foods that are free of artificial substances. One element of this is dry pasta, which has been a staple in every Hungarian household since ancient times. Our grandmothers' noodles are remembered as an ode to the past, but nowadays they are more of a fond memory.
The Municipality of Újszentmargita has taken this memory and put it into action. The decision was taken to build a 320 m2 plant for the production of functional and organic pasta called Pasta Margita.2-es üzem építéséről született döntés.
Thanks to a successful tender, on 10 February 2022 the construction and foundation works of the "With hand, with heart from Margita" Pasta plant started, for which the Municipality won a non-refundable grant of HUF 227 931 755 from the Ministry of the Interior under the Economic Stimulation Programme for Beneficiary Settlements. The dry pasta plant is expected to be completed in June 2022. The purchase of a pasta production line for the production of organic and functional pasta with health benefits is underway. The pasta plant is scheduled to be inaugurated at the end of summer 2022.
